Canadian K-12 Schools
Canadian K-12 public education is delivered by individual school boards / divisions, each with its own international student office handling admissions, fees, homestays, custodianship, and ESL. We have long-standing partnerships with several key boards and can apply to public boards across Canada.
Key Partner School Boards
Alberta
- Edmonton Public Schools (EPSB) — 25+ years of international programs, 214 schools, K-12; primarily September intake (February intake also available for grades 10-12)
- Edmonton Catholic Schools (ECSD) — Catholic education system; smaller scale (~100 international students/year); IB programs available
- Calgary Board of Education (CBE) — largest public board in Western Canada; K-9 September only, grades 10-12 September/February; under-12 students must reside with a parent
- Calgary Catholic School District (CCSD) — Catholic education system; well-established international program
- Golden Hills School Division (Strathmore) — 25-year program covering ~300 international students from 30+ countries; rare student dormitory option (Strathmore / Drumheller / Three Hills) alongside homestay; flexible duration (1 month to graduation)

- Operated by school boards — large-scale, stable
- Predominantly local students; authentic language environment

Private
- Higher tuition ($25,000–$60,000+ CAD/yr)
- Some offer boarding
- Smaller class sizes; high university placement
- Brand-name schools (UCC, Appleby, Ridley, SMUS, etc.)
Our Service
- Consultation: recommend boards/schools based on age, English level, family budget
- Application prep: transcript translation/notarization, recommendation letters, application essays
- Formal application: submitted to the board’s international student office
- Offer acceptance: accepting offers, paying tuition
- Custodianship: mandatory for minors — provided by us (see Custodianship)
- Homestay: arranged through the board or third-party providers
- Study permit: submitted with custodianship documents
- Pre-departure: packing, insurance, arrival workflow
